  • Prof. Rita Dickson appointed new dean for KNUST pharmacy school

    Prof. Rita Akosua Dickson, has been appointed as the new dean for the Faculty of

    Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences (FPPS) of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), replacing the late Prof. Kofi Annan, the former dean who passed away few months into his appointment.

     

    Prof. Dickson, who until her appointment was serving as the vice dean now occupies the highest leadership role at country's premier pharmacy school as the first female dean since the inception of the faculty dating back to the 1950s.

     

    Prof. Rita Akosua Dickson is an Associate Professor at the Department of Pharmacognosy. She obtained her Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm) and Master of Pharmacy (MPharm) degrees from KNUST and holds a PhD and a Graduate Certificate in Academic Practice (GCAP) from Kings College, London.
